Your new role
We are seeking to appoint an APS6 Project Officer in a full-time capacity until June 2022. In this role, the Project Officer is will provide detailed technical, professional, policy, operational support and advice in relation to complex problems. This is a team leadership position and as such will provide leadership, control, planning, resource management, performance management and decision making to the Assistant Technology Markets Team.
You will be responsible for:

  • Supporting stakeholder engagement (internal & external) to develop policy and processes
  • Liaising with different market elements and supply/provision enablers to make available workable AT market solutions
  • Managing escalated complaints and ensuring strict deadlines are met.
  • Supporting the continued development of the AT Market Strategy for a range of participant
  • Developing and coordinating the monitoring and evaluation of trials, staged implementation and ongoing market delivery approaches
  • Supporting the design and implementation of streamlined methods
  • Developing and managing project plans and schedules
  • Providing specialist advice and technical expertise to staff and stakeholders.
  • Performing independent research work and analysis including the preparation of draft reports on relevant project activities.
  • Preparing draft written material including business cases, plans, executive briefs and corporate documentation.
  • Monitoring project budgets, review and report on expenditure and assist with procurement and contract management.

What you’ll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in project support and administration.
  • Well-developed understanding of relevant statutory, regulatory and policy frameworks
  • Experience coordinating and facilitating team performance
  • Demonstrated ability to provide advice and recommendations to a wide variety of customers and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work autonomously.
  • Extensive skills with Microsoft suite of programs
  • Government organisation experience is highly desirable.

Due to the nature of our client, for this role you MUST be an Australian Citizen OR a Permanent Resident living in Australia.
