Your new role
A taskforce consisting of activities in policy development and regulatory improvement, standards development and maintenance. These positions will bring an exciting opportunity to participate in regulatory reform to help improve operational work processes, undertaking activities in relation to regulatory assessments. Your primary responsibilities are:
- Developing written responses and engaging with stakeholders about applications related to policy and standards
- Undertaking quality assessments and checks
- Draft written reports, briefings. Publication and correspondence on complex issues
- Assessing applications under the legislative framework
- Developing safety policy, standards and procedures
- Contribute to monitoring and planning work processes for the team
- Undertaking inspections
- Liaison with external Government agencies and programs
- Supervise and coordinate research on regulation and standards
- Analyse and asses information, drafting recommendations
What you’ll need to succeed
Your previous experience in a similar role within the Australian Public Service will lead to your success. You will have a strong track record with experience in regulatory and qualifications/ experience in the automotive sector and qualifications/ experience in regulation or engineering.
Candidate who are applying for this position must be an Australian Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Federal Government Security Clearance (Baseline, NV1 or NV2)

This position is offered as an initial 12 month extension with 2 x 12 month extension options, due to the tenure of the role career progression and on-going development.
