Job description: Role: Assistant Director
Centre: Queens Park, WA
Employment Type: Fixed term contract (6 months - potential for extension)

Our Centre
Goodstart Early Learning Child Care Centre Queens Park is a high quality care child care centre located close to schools, shops and community facilities. Our educators are dedicated and committed, all having worked at our centre for two years or more. We have a wonderful multicultural team of educators who promote non-bias and cultural awareness to enhance children’s understanding of different backgrounds. We encourage children to have fun and build friendships in a safe, secure and well supervised environment.

We believe that children learn through play and everyday experiences. Our educators ensure that the most appropriate care and education techniques are applied for each child, to promote development and growth.

Our centre was assessed by (ACECQA) and we received an overall rating of ‘Exceeding’. This process is a National Framework, which rates all Childcare Centres across Australia against the National Quality Standards.

Your Impact
As the Assistant Director at Goodstart Queens Park, you will use your experience and leadership qualities to engage and motivate your centre team to drive continuous improvement in all aspects across centre operation and to extend your network of relationships with children, families and educators. You will work in collaboration with your centre leadership team .
You will establish respectful and reciprocal relationships with families and engage in networks within the centre’s local community.

You’ll help achieve this by

* Support the centre director in the leadership of the team to provide high-quality early learning and care
* Mentor and build capabilities within the centre team
* Be responsible for the overall management of the centre in the centre director’s absence
* Use and implement the Goodstart Practice Guide
