This intimate firm is looking to increase their employee base, building a knowledgeable and skilled team to provide its top-tier services to its increasing client list, and advance the company to become a nationally recognised brand. This expanding firm specialises in tax, audit and advisory services, and has an opening for a Senior or Supervisor Accountant within its CBD fringe-based office.

Your new role
You will be working with clients with their taxation and advisory needs, supporting the professional development of your team, you will be responsible for supporting the business and its client base, developing professional relationships with clients, and providing general advice and diligent research through the businesses numerous value-added services.
Your primary responsibilities will involve:

• Relying upon your broad knowledge and experience of tax including demonstrable knowledge of Div7a to support client’s taxation needs.
• Supporting the development of your company and client base
• Leading your team and fostering professional development in the junior workers
• Diligently reviewing the work completed by junior staff
• Providing timely and accurate reports to senior managers
• Evaluating the company’s value-added services and providing supporting research into fields such as CGT, Corporate Restructures, Estate Planning and Succession

What you’ll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will have demonstrated experience in this field or a similar role, be able to show strong technical tax skills and knowledge of FBT and CGT. Experience with multiple software’s including Xero, MYOB, Office Suite and BGL is desirable. As this is a senior position you will also have a proven record of leading and supporting others, be able to delegate tasks within a team and guide more junior staff towards training and development. You will also possess the highest standard of communication and a keen eye for detail.
