What you’ll be doing To work as part of a multi-disciplinary team providing mental health services to children, adolescents and their families, delivering a range of intervention strategies including individual, family, group work and early intervention programmes.

Selection Criteria:

  • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist (PsyBA).
  • Ability to complete risk assessments, mental health assessments and knowledge of mental health literacy education for young people.
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal and communication and problem solving skills and its application to consult, liaise and negotiate with young people, family members and carers as well as communicate effectively with other professionals.
  • Ability to work as part of a busy & complex multi-disciplinary team and to exercise independent professional judgement on routine matters, commensurate with years of experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement and evidence based practice and a commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
  • A sound understanding of privacy legislation, the principles of informed consent for minors, the limits on confidentiality and mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse.
  • Current unrestricted Class C driver’s licence.
