What you’ll be doing The Consultation & Assessment Team (CAT) and Safeguard Team Leader in collaboration with the CAMHS Service Manager provides expert clinical, operational leadership and supervision to the Team. The CAT Team Leader is responsible for liaising and providing consultation to staff and managers of other mental and general health teams and relevant external agencies. The CAT and Safeguard Team Leader is responsible for ensuring the Team staff comply with professional and organisational obligations in relation to Policies and Procedures, risk management and notifications in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Selection Criteria:

  • Current Registered Nurse – List A with AHPRA and Current Driver’s license applicable to NSW with Minimum 5 years extensive experience in children and/or young people’s mental health (0-24 years).
  • Proven leadership and management skills and demonstrated ability to lead, manage and support a multidisciplinary.
  • Substantial postgraduate experience in health or related field with recent knowledge of issues in relation to community mental health service delivery.
  • Demonstrated high level of interpersonal skills, written and verbal communication skills and experience in liaison at all organisation levels and with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in initiating and implementing changes to improve clinical service delivery and outcomes, models of care, evidence based practice and practice development.
  • Demonstrated partnership building and negotiation skills with a broad range of service providers eg FACS, NDIS, NGOs and other health service departments.
  • Extensive experience as a clinician in the provision of mental health, child & adolescent mental health and/or drug and alcohol services.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how the District is Caring for the Coast and how this role would contribute.
