The Role

To manage the day-to-day operational functions within Guest Relations.

The Responsibilities

  • Be the first point of contact for all visitors and clients, meeting and greeting all visitors and offering refreshments as required
  • Managing incoming telephone calls (internal and external) ensuring all enquiries are dealt with in a timely and efficient manner
  • Managing the booking system and catering and beverage requests,
  • Organisation and set up of meeting rooms and anticipating the needs of the users (i.e. audio visual and equipment set up, etc)
  • Regular audit of rooms daily to ensure order and report maintenance faults
  • Assisting with supervision of other staff
  • Maintaining the Reception area
  • Provide administrative support as advised

  • Leadership and management / supervisory skills
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • High level of attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent personal presentation
  • Delegation skills
  • Complaint handling
  • Experience in a corporate or five star hotel environment
  • Administrative skills – word, powerpoint, excel and outlook are desirable
