The opportunity

*Part time opportunity – 2 day week. Fixed Term up to 6 Months*

Reporting directly to the Executive Director Strategic Operations, you will be responsible for using data intelligence and analytics to strategically plan the direction of Greater Sydney Operations, leading operational delivery and recommendations for future performance of the multi-modal network.

Your role will be a critical part of the functional model in collecting and analysing data to enable strategic direction and operational capability as well as the development of a revenue protection strategy for the Public Transport network.

What you will be involved in

  • Leading the development of the data intelligence and analytics function for Greater Sydney Operations
  • Acting as the key liaison with the Advanced Analytics and Intelligence (AAI) branch and Customer Strategy and Technology Division
  • Driving the performance measures that will drive achievement of the Operations’ Branch objectives
  • Leading the reporting and dashboards of operational areas across Greater Sydney Operations
  • Leading the demand responsive tactical incident reporting including insights into the emergency response of the multi modal network
  • Leading and mentoring a team of up to 8 direct reports
  • Leading the Community of Practice for data analytics across Greater Sydney Operations

About you

You are a collaborative leader with strong stakeholder management skills who leverages the experience of a diverse range of stakeholders to enhance the customer-focus of processes.

You will have a strong data analytics and reporting background with demonstrated experience using business intelligence effectively to drive continuous improvement and in effect lead the Community of Practice for data analytics across Greater Sydney Operations.

You will also have solid project management skills teamed with a strong ability to navigate a complex matrix environment to source and pull together information from across teams to bring data to life and drive decisions in required timeframes.

Whilst operational reporting experience is not essential, extensive business intelligence experience supported by a relevant tertiary qualification is highly desirable.
