Work with Us An exciting opportunity is currently available within the Engineering and Asset Infrastructure Planning section. About the role This position is responsible for ensuring that the existing stormwater assets are fit for purpose and adequately captured in terms of asset data with any works required identified in Council’s renewal program. This position will also investigate any issues raised in regard to the condition of any stormwater infrastructure. About you Our ideal candidate will have: Degree in Engineering (Civil or Environmental). Asset management understanding in terms of performing asset performance analysis by considering the cost, risk, condition and performance information. Knowledge of various types of stormwater infrastructure, both quantity and quality devices, within a Local Government sphere. Knowledge and experience in performing analysis in various information technology systems including the Microsoft Office suite, GIS and Business Management Systems. Well developed interpersonal, communication (both written and verbal) and negotiating skills. Well-developed organisational and time management skills including the ability to prioritise work objectives on both a personal and team level. Sound knowledge of cadastral, survey and engineering/infrastructure plan and standards along with a demonstrated ability to interpret them and obtain necessary information. Knowledge of relevant legislation, codes and guidelines relating to the QLD Local Government Act and appropriate asset management standards.
