Classification:Facilities Officers (Maintenance/Grounds) - WHA 3

Locations: The positions advertised will initially be located at Gawler, Mount Barker, and Victor Harbor. Please be aware that staff could be deployed elsewhere within the Network as needed.

Salary: $53,163 - $53,762 p.a. (pro-rata), Salaries listed are gross base salary ranges only (this does not include any applicable allowances, loadings or superannuation).

Barossa Hills Fleurieu Local Health Network (BHFLHN) is seeking applications from Facilities Officers (Maintenance/Grounds) who would like to support the COVID-19 Response within the BHFLHN. We are a unique peri-urban Local Health Network, located in close proximity to Adelaide.

Summary of Position:

The Facilities Officer is responsible for general facility maintenance associated with the interior and/or exterior of the health unit.

Duties may include rubbish collection, dirty linen removal, minor carpentry, painting, plumbing, mechanical and grounds maintenance, washing of fleet vehicles.

Appointment will be subject to satisfactory Criminal History Checks i.e. a National Police Clearance (NPC) permitting unsupervised work with vulnerable groups and a Working with Children Check (WWCC), and appropriate immunisation requirements. Those working in a Community Health setting will also need a NDIS Worker Check. Applicants must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as it is an essential requirement under the Emergency Management (Healthcare Setting Workers Vaccination) (COVID-19) Directions 2021 to work in SA Health/health care setting. In addition, a 2021 Influenza vaccination is required for work at an Aged Care site.
