Our client operates a large family-owned mixed farming operation covering 7,500 acres spread between 2 properties in the Riverina area of NSW.

We are seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and conscientious person to join this professional family owned and operated business based near Berrigan NSW with another property near Corowa NSW.
This mixed farming business crops 2,000 hectares of winter cereals, 200 hectares of summer cropping and has 500 hectares of irrigation utilised mainly for fodder production and grazing. There are over 4,000 sheep being merino and first cross ewes to produce quality wool and prime lambs.

This position is cropping dominant, if you are interested in livestock work, this can be part of the role. You must have experience in broad acre cropping (esp. spraying, sowing, and harvesting) and appreciate working with very modern farming plant, A good level of mechanical and workshop skills (including welding) would be ideal along with your HC or MC truck licence preferred. Livestock handling experience a bonus.

To be considered for this role you will possess the following skills -

• Experience with broad acre cropping equipment & operations – tractors, seeder, loaders, sprayers, trucks, harvester, chaser bin etc.
• HC Licence ideal (or ability/willingness to upgrade)
• Great communication skills
• The ability to work unsupervised, be self-motivated, follow instructions.
• Problem solver and Team player
• Willingness to learn and take responsibility.
• Chem Cert
• Workshop skills – mechanical, maintenance, welding etc ideal.
• Livestock handling experience a bonus.

A generous remuneration package in line with experience and skills will be negotiated with the successful applicant, a work ute can be supplied however if you use your own vehicle/tools, a higher hourly rate will be available. There is a share house located in Berrigan which is available to singles, housing can be sourced locally if required.
