Brisbane Private Hospital is looking to employ Food Service Assistants to join our busy department on a casual basis. You will work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment that strives to deliver outstanding healthcare to our patients.

As a Food Services Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
• Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
• Clean and maintain utensils and kitchen equipment in accordance with hospital & industry food safety and hygiene standards

Owned by the Healthscope group, Brisbane Private Hospital, is a 181 bed facility with a long and dedicated history of providing expert care in the following specialities, orthopaedics, neurosurgery, spinal surgery, plastics, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, urology, ear, nose and throat, general surgery, rehabilitation, gynaecology and fertility.

Selection Criteria:

• Current Food Processing Certificate Level 1 (working towards or willing to attain)
• Prior experience in Healthcare Food Services
• Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
• Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as a part of a team
• Excellent time management skills
• Flexible to work a variety of shifts - early/late shifts and weekend work (penalty rates apply)

Remuneration:

• This position will be paid in accordance with the Healthscope Non Clinical Enterprise Agreement at an hourly rate of $30.35 inclusive of casual loading. Penalty rates will apply to afternoon and night shifts.
