The Boutique Collection Pty Ltd – a property management company heavily involved in Tourism manages an eclectic group of Houses Apartments and Villas in the Port Douglas, Palm Cove and Cairns Regions.

The company is seeking to employ a full time Guest Services Manager to complement its organisation. This is a management role.

Based in Port Douglas we are seeking a person with a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role

The successful applicant will demonstrate excellent leadership skills and have the ability to train other staff and new staff as required to the Company standard.

The Guest service manager will require flexibility and be able to work over a seven day week to a pre-scheduled roster which he will create.

The suitable candidate we will be a highly skilled motivated individual whose focus will be for Guest Experiences that exceeds expectations. The candidate will possess an in-depth knowledge of the accommodation and Tourism industry, Staff management skills roster reporting and administration skills identifying guest trends , product quality and competitive guest products

The candidate will already be in a similar role for a minimum of three years

Key responsibilities include:

Ensure Guests access their property on arrival after ensuring check in procedures are processes

Manage staff and contractors to ensure adequate services are supplied when required

To oversee standards with other staff with a constant review of service standards and guest care and provide on the job training as required .

To track cost and report inventory supplies for accommodation and ensure these are billed out and funds retrieved In room supplies will be its own profit centre of which the manager will be responsible.

To ensure adequate staff are recruited to handle the peak and premium peak seasons and the hiring of these staff are undertaken in time to ensure they are properly trained

Handling customer complaints quickly and effectively through listing to the guest assessing the complaint and taking the appropriate action, prepare a monthly report of Guest arrivals complaints /tours sold / staff on hand for the reporting month together with staff requirements for the forecasted period.
