About the role:

The Health and Safety Business Partner will use their excellent communication, organisation and problem-solving skills to support the wider G8 Education network to continuously improve their safety practices. In partnership with operational leaders and the Head of Health and Safety, the Health and Safety Business Partner will drive the implementation of documented safety systems, support operational leaders to develop a proactive safety culture and support continuous improvement through the monitoring, reporting and escalation of improvement actions through to completion

Key responsibilities include:

  • Assist in the maintenance, review and continuous improvement and implementation of documented systems of work in consultation with key stakeholders
  • Monitor local Health and Safety performance and assist operational leaders to identify trends and implement improvement opportunities
  • Maintain, monitor and review team safety incident investigation system, ensuring improvement actions are recorded and completed within agreed timeframes and support escalation process for outstanding actions.
  • Analyse data from multiple sources to identify local and organisational improvement opportunities and in consultation with key stakeholders develop innovative solutions to address risks or issues identified
  • Develop, maintain, continuously improve and communicate tools and resources to assist the operations leadership team to continuously improve safety practices

Essential Criteria:

  • Demonstrated experience working in an operational health and safety role
  • Experience in the management of workers compensation claims
  • Highly developed problem-solving, information technology, collaboration, coordination and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and mentor leaders and provoke positive change
  • Excellent time management and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities.
