About the role

  • Be responsible for ILS planning, analysis, and supporting market solicitation activities.
  • Assist Project Manager to develop Government Gate approval documentation, support concepts and plans, and contracts to deliver ongoing support
  • Advise Project Manager on ILS Program requirements
  • Provide ILS input to wider Project documentation
  • Pro-actively engage stakeholders and attend meetings

Scope of work

The required services may include, but are not limited to:

  • ILS Concept development
  • ILS Plan development
  • Support the Government approval process
  • Support systems analysis (including sparing and maintenance evaluations)
  • Contribute to CLC process
  • Understand and clarify logistics policy and legislation for stakeholders within Defence
  • Businesses case and scope development, costing and contracts and procurement activities
  • Support Project Manager in developing ILS schedule and cost model inputs

It isessential that you have:

  • Experience working in an acquisition or sustainment logistics environment
  • ILS Support System Constituent Capabilities (SSCCs)
  • ILS in a Defence Acquisition Project environment
  • Development of ILS documentation (such as ILS Plans, ILS Concepts, Integrated Logistics Support Instructions, etc)
  • NV1

It is desirable that you have:

  • Exposure to and understanding of the Australian Defence Contracting (ASDEFCON) template suite
  • Conduct of Supportability Analysis (such as Level of Repair Analysis, Spares Analysis, Maintenance Evaluation)
  • Understanding of risk management principles
  • Basic Life Cycle Cost modelling and analysis
  • Knowledge of Capability Life Cycle (CLC)
