Maintenance Fitter Day, Afternoon and Night Shift

APG Workforce currently has available three Maintenance Fitter positions in Day, Afternoon and Night Shift. Our client is an Industry Leader in the manufacture and supply of FMCG poultry products for human consumption.

Based in the Griffith Area, they are currently looking for an experienced Industrial Maintenance Fitter to join their expanding Maintenance Team in an ongoing role.

The successful candidates must be flexible in their ability to work rotating shift patterns as well as some overtime and weekend work.
Starting base rate for this position is $33.90 per hour plus shift loading plus OT.

This is an exciting opportunity to secure ether ongoing casual or permanent work with an industry leader at their state-of-the-art Flagship Plant while taking advantage of generous Federal Government relocation subsidies to make a tree change to Rural Australia. APG Workforce will help eligible applicants access relocation subsidies of $6,000 if you are an Australian Citizen or resident $2,000 if you are a visa holder with the right to work in Australia.

To be considered for this role you must have:

  • Trade Qualified Fitter
  • A minimum of 2 years Industrial Maintenance in a GMP / HACCP Environment
  • Well, developed, problem solving skills with the ability to carry out trouble shooting and maintenance machinery/equipment while implementing long term preventive actions.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts weekends and overtime as required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and in a team.
  • Ability to run and organize maintenance work in conjunction with others as necessary and a commitment to reduce breakdowns by ensuring preventative maintenance is applied.
  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with confidence and the ability to exercise sound judgement skills.
  • Conscious of safe methods of always working and a commitment to a safe working environment.
  • A current Driver’s Licence and own reliable transport
