The Company
Our client is a well-respected, private organisation. Due to the ongoing success of the business, an opportunity has arisen for an experienced Management Accountant to join on a six-month contract, with the opportunity for it to become permanent.
You will be working as part of an inclusive and high performing finance team, within modern CBD offices. The well-established management team are open minded in their approach and have fostered a fun and collaborative culture within the office. This progressive business offers hybrid working options and will support you working from home once you are up to speed.
This position reports to the Financial Controller, and if you are successful in your application, you will have an opportunity to work closely with, and learn from them.
The Role
Our client is looking to engage an autonomous and highly motivated management accountant who can hit the ground running in a busy environment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Timely preparation and delivery of monthly management reporting including commentary on results, review of supporting schedules and analysis of monthly performance including major variances to Budget and Forecast
- Responsibility of preparing annual Budget and forecasts for allocated business units
- Providing financial support to allocated business units, covering review of profitability, cost control and process improvements.
- Assist with ad-hoc projects where necessary
Your Skills & Experience
- Degree qualified in Commerce, Business, or related field.
- CPA, CA or CIMA qualified.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel is preferred.
- Extraordinary ability to multi-task and attention to detail are critical.
- Forward-thinking experience in management accounting.
- Strong communication skills to explain ideas to a variety of stakeholders.

You have excellent skills with numbers, a real passion for pinpoint accuracy and an unparalleled knack for catching out meaningful details and minutiae. You have the people skills to work as part of a team and the self-motivation to work independently. You understand the importance of deadlines, and your excellent communication skills let you explain financial concepts to colleagues that may not have an accounting background. Your creative outlook allows you to take on problems with an innovative approach.
