About the role

In this role you will be supporting the Regional Recovery media and communications team and helping coordinate and deliver diverse media and communication activities.

What will you be doing?

  • Help develop and implement media and communication strategies to effectively communicate, inform and engage with audiences
  • Support the development of copy and creative writing for web and social media, EDMs, stakeholder letters and other communication channels
  • Develop content across various channels including traditional and social media, website, direct marketing and printed collateral to deliver regular and consistent messaging to identified audiences
  • Develop and manage a media opportunities calendar to maximise coverage and awareness
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with media, the Deputy Premier’s Office, the Department of Regional NSW, relevant NSW Government agencies and other stakeholders to facilitate appropriate and timely media and engagement activity
  • Work in partnership with the regional media, communications and engagement team to ensure program strategies align with the broader regional narrative and messaging, objectives and priorities
  • Embed appropriate systems, policies and procedures to enhance the accuracy, responsiveness and appropriateness of communications outputs and outcomes
