What You’ll Be Doing

To provide the best possible radiographic service, ensuring a high quality of patient care. Strive to maintain a "best practice" department with regard to patients, visitors, staff and codes of practice. Participate in a rotating roster (24/7) performing a range of medical imaging related services as part of a multi-disciplinary team and working independently at times. Utilise imaging equipment in general, mobile, operating theatre, fluoroscopy and CT locations to produce optimal diagnostic images with minimal radiation exposure complemented by a range of IT products including PACS & Radiology and Hospital Information Systems.

Selection Criteria:

  • Degree in Medical Radiation Science - Medical Imaging or equivalent, which will allow eligibility for membership of the Australian Society of Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy (ASMIRT).
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Demonstrate independent and significant professional knowledge and judgement to acquire and exhibit competency in all appropriate clinical tasks.
  • Participation in a Continuing Professional Development (CPD) program and willingness to continue further education.
  • A licence to operate radiation apparatus as issued by the NSW EPA.
  • Current Class C driver’s licence and / or the ability to attend remote sites in a timely manner by other forms of transport.
  • Current registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner with AHPRA.
  • A willingness and commitment to participate in a rotating roster (24/7) as part of a professional imaging team.
