About you

We are expanding and our growing Therapeutic Services team is seeking a passionate, flexible and professional Occupational Therapist for our practice. You need to have an approved qualification in Occupational Therapy, AHPRA registration.

The role

We work closely with Foster Care services, NDIS and Medicare. Essential Selection Criteria

  • Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and current registration or eligibility for registration with AHPRA to practice as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Demonstrated experience and well developed skills in working effectively with children, young people or adults with a range of disability and/ or complex behavioral needs including children and young people in Out of Home Care
  • Current NDIS Works Screening Check
  • Current NSW Working With Children Check
  • Australian Drivers Licence
  • Covid 19 Vaccination

Demonstrated ability to:

  • Provide center, community and home based assessment and intervention to both children and adults
  • Conduct assessments and complete applications for assistive technology, and specialist disability accommodation.
  • Conduct sensory assessments and provide therapy.
  • Work with small groups.
  • Complete clinical documentation including progress notes and session summaries, reports and emails.
  • Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and collaborate with key stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes for the clients, families and/or carers.

Desirable Criteria

  • Eligibility for registration with Medicare.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in NDIS and OOHC legislation and standards.
