Chandler Macleod is proud to be partnering once again with an industy leading mining organisation. Operating on a global scale and recognised as an employer of choice; we are looking to acquire a Purchasing Officer to join their high-performance team in Brisbane CBD.

What is the role?

As part of the procurement team, the ultimate responsibility of this role will be to support the remote sites with their procurement and purchasing needs. This is a high-volume purchasing role and tasks will include;

• Raising purchase orders using SAP;
• Coaching site members on procurement processes and system usage;
• Coordinating /following up /expediting outstanding orders;
• Identifying efficiencies /cost savings;
• Updating customer records;
• Investigations;

What are we looking for?

In order to be considered for this role, you will ideally have experience in a similar purchasing /procurement role in the mining industry. You will be comfortable in a high volume "transactional" environment and have experience with SAP. You will also have excellent communication skills and the ability to influence people at all levels.

• $47.00/hr + Super
