This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

What you’ll be doing

The purpose of this position is to provide high level administrative support to the Director and Division of Aged Subacute and Complex Care .

The Quality and Systems Assistant works with the Director to fulfil the administrative functions of the division. The portfolio is complex and challenging and this role will play a proactive and integral part in ensuring that administrative responsibilities are undertaken in an efficient, professional and timely manner.

The Quality and Systems Assistant role is an autonomous and independent role with a high level of responsibility. The Quality and Systems Assistant works very closely with the Director and must be able to interact professionally with other members of the CCLHD team including the Executive Team and Directors.

The position holder will be required to manage matters that are urgent and/or of a sensitive nature and as such will regularly communicate with managers within the Directorate.

The position holder will be required to prepare confidential and complex correspondence, much of which will carry political sensitivity. Correspondence will include report writing, submissions, ministerial responses, and answers to questions from Parliament etc.
