This recruitment may be used to fill future positions via an eligibility list for permanent, full time, part time, temporary and casual positions.

This is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

What you’ll be doing The Registered Nurse is an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing specialised nursing care to patients and clients of the health service during their Endoscopy experience; and leading, directing and supervising other nurses and care roles in the team, such as Assistants in Nursing and Enrolled Nurses and Operations Assistants to support quality care for patients/ clients.

Selection Criteria:

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Recent clinical experience In Endoscopy Nursing, as Processing and Circulating, and or airway management nurse.
  • Commitment to quality improvement, practice development and evidence based practice.
  • Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and sound written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of team nursing and demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of the multidisciplinary health care team.
  • Demonstrated understanding of how the District is Caring for the Coast and how this role would contribute.
