About the role

Our busy Orthopaedic Unit is currently seeking experienced Register Nurses to join their team on a permanent part time basis.

The Orthopaedic ward is a 26 bed unit providing care to patients who have under gone total knee replacements, total hip replacements, knee, shoulder, foot and hand surgery.

What you’ll be doing

As a Registered Nurse you will provide quality care to patients with particular consideration to their physical, emotional and spiritual needs. You will provide high standard of patient centred nursing care. The Registered Nurse core responsibilities supporting patients in the activities of daily living, assisting in meeting basic human needs and recognising the normal and abnormal assessment, intervention and evaluation of patient health and functional status with ongoing communication with VMOs, Allied Health professionals and team members within the unit.

About you

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA
  • Preferred experience in Orthopaedic’s on ward training will be given
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and coordinate patient care and competency in clinical problem solving
  • Available to work across all shifts
  • Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent
  • Demonstrated competency in written and verbal communications and the ability to maintain accurate clinical and assessment data
  • The right to work in Australia
