Registered Nurse – Perioperative Services (Scrub/Scout)

Our Perioperative Services Department is currently seeking experienced Scrub/Scouts to join our Perioperative team with experience within the following specialities:

  • General
  • Cardiac
  • Urology
  • Orthopaedics

About the role

The Perioperative Services department at Mater Private Hospital Townsville (MPHT) provides surgical services across 16 theatres, and caters for adults and paediatrics with a variety of surgical specialties. Over the course of 2021, we will be increasing our operational capacity to include an additional 4 theatres. MPHT boasts brand new state of the art theatre facilities, a catheterization laboratory, separate onsite day site surgery facilities as well as newly implemented robotic surgery involving the da Vinci Surgical System.

Seeking to grow our dedicated and knowledgeable team, we are looking for you to bring demonstrated skills and experience within the above clinical skillset to work across the full scope of our services.

About you

As someone with strong work ethic and self-motivation, you are able to adapt to a changing environment as we work together to deliver first class services. Alongside your caring and engaging manner, you have a positive attitude and strong communication skills allowing you to engage with our patients and their families.

You will also have:

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA
  • 2 years’ experience or more as a Registered Nurse in a hospital perioperative setting with relevant specialty experience
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded although not essential
