Position: Restaurant Manager

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $53,000.00 to $63,000.00 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Port Douglas QLD 4877 Our client is seeking an experienced full-time Restaurant Manager to join their busy à la carte restaurant which is open for lunch & dinner 7 days a week. Your role will be to coordinate the efficient running of the restaurant on a day-to-day level and implement all training procedures & polices of the company.

Tasks required include:

· Responsible for the introduction of new staff, ensures that they are shown all the standards & procedures & are provided with all the paper work required.

· Responsible for the writing & costing of the rosters, signs off & checks the correct hours to rostered hours have been worked.

· Design & cost menus in conjunction with other heads of departments, ensure all stocktakes are carried out on a fortnightly basis. Inputs invoices into the costing program & insures all KPI are reached. · Implement staff training to all new staff & existing staff. Understand & uphold company policies, standards & procedures.

· Communicate with the office to ensure that an open line is maintained at all times. Filters relevant information to the staff from the management meeting, has a meeting with the supervisors each & every week.

· Understand & maintain beverage costs & labour percentages & keep them inline at all times. Ensure that an effective stock control is maintained & stock takes are maintained on a monthly basis. · Manage all floor staff & coordinate to ensure they are running the floor in a hygienic & professional manner.

· Manage the day-to-day running of the floor to ensure a good team environment.

· Understand labour laws, workplace agreements & apprentice awards & implements them. · Responsible for cleaning / cleanliness of the restaurant for both the cleaners responsibilities & those belonging to the staff.


· Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma or Diploma in Leadership and Management

· Current RSA

· At least 3 years prior experience as a Restaurant Manager

· À la carte experience.
