Duties The Department of Treasury and Finance is the central agency that manages the Tasmanian Government’s financial resources and implements strategies to achieve the Government’s economic, fiscal and policy objectives. Treasury is made up of five Divisions: Budget and Finance Economic and Financial Policy Revenue, Gaming and Licensing Corporate and Governance Renewables, Climate and Future Industries Tasmania Each Division incorporates a number of branches. Roving Policy Analysts undertake varying tasks across Treasury and may be assigned to any Division.To be successful in this role, an applicant will demonstrate a broad range of skills and experience, in the context of working across government and parliamentary processes and public administration, in one or more of the following areas: Policy and research experience in the fields of inter-Government relations, regulatory environments, procurement, taxation or in the use of public funds and other finances. Complex economic research, investigations and analysis of financial, economic and legal issues to support the formulation of policy proposals and advice. Interpretation and provision of complex advice in relation to legislation and regulatory instruments. Project management including experience in project governance and reporting requirements, business process analysis and delivering project outputs.
