What you will be doing

  • Prepare credit risk related reporting designed to meet the needs of senior executives, Credit Committee, Risk Committee and Audit Committee
  • Complete credit risk related analytics related to metrics such as problem loans, non-performing loans, provisioning and RWAs
  • Preparation and submission of KRIs for RAS purposes
  • Execute the Bank’s Expected Credit Loss Model
  • Develop and maintain compliance plans for multiple credit risk related APRA standards
  • Preparation of annual attestation of credit risk related regulatory reporting obligations
  • Liaise with Treasury and Credit Risk regarding economic modelling
  • Develop and implement enhancements to Expected Credit Loss modelling
  • Liaise with the Financial Reporting team regarding credit risk financial reporting disclosures and left-hand notes
  • Liaise with credit risk (first line and second line), internal audit (third line) and external audit regarding credit risk related audit planning, findings and observations
  • Liaise with both the internal and external auditors on all compliance, internal control and accounting matters related to credit risk
  • Review and maintain policies, procedures and systems relating to Finance’s credit risk processes to ensure Bank Australia is compliant with the standards required by APRA, ASIC and the Board of Directors
  • Provide credit risk advice to all areas of the business as required.

What you will bring

  • Significant banking experience in an APRA regulated ADI which should include experience in a risk or lending function
  • Thorough understanding of business process, control and best practise
  • Ability to identify, analyse and solve problems.
  • Ability to make timely, informed and sound decisions
  • Ability to adapt and respond to a changing and dynamic work environment
  • Relationships building skills and ability to collaborate across teams
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Skilled in using the Microsoft Office suite of applications
  • A process improvement mind-set and confidence to challenge when appropriate
  • Exposure to other functions in banking (e.g. information technology, accounting, and relationship management) is preferred
  • Tertiary qualifications in commerce, accounting, economics or other relevant area
  • Technical training relevant to areas of responsibility, such as FINSIA, RMA or other risk management organisations is preferred
