The opportunity

The Senior Change Officer plays an active role in the assessment, analysis, documentation and implementation of change programs. The role will apply change management guidance and expertise to ensure minimal disruptions to operations for customers and TfNSW stakeholders.

The role is expected to operate with some degree of autonomy in respect of their day to day work priorities and, in this context, is expected to determine matters that need to be referred to senior managers or other staff to deal with and provide advice, exercising discretion and judgement on what is appropriate to send to their manager and/or leadership team.

Key accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Support and enable project teams to ensure sustained change across transformation programs.
  • Support continual improvement of change tools, processes and systems.
  • Contribute to Change Communities of Practice, and actively seek to identify and participate in TfNSW business improvement aligned forums and groups.
  • Work as a collaborative member across the Branch to apply skills and capabilities to support priority initiatives, where ever needed for change.

About you:

You hold the appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or can demonstrate relevant, equivalent professional experience within Government or a large and complex corporate environment.

You will have demonstrated knowledge of, and expertise in, organisation-wide change management activities, including planning, stakeholder engagement and consultation.

You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to establish and maintain stakeholder relationships to support effective change, including the ability to influence internal and external key stakeholders relating to complex and sensitive matters.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is Grade 8A $118,015 – 8E $132,176 per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
