An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated Senior Mental Health Clinician to undertake an ongoing position in the newly developed Acute Response Team.

Ballarat Health Services – Ballarat Mental Health Services (BHS – BMHS) is a dynamic Area Mental Health Service striving to provide the highest standards of treatment for the City of Ballarat and local surrounding communities, while maintaining a commitment to a continuously improving clinical environment.

We are currently in the process of undergoing significant service reform with the active involvement and engagement of all staff in the service. Applications are sought from candidates with well-developed mental health and risk assessment skills, along with clinical experience in a range of mental health settings; particularly in community.

This position provides comprehensive assessment, treatment and onward referral to people 18-64 years of age across the Ballarat area, who are experiencing an acute mental health issue.

The Acute Response Team is at the ‘front end’ of service delivery with the priority to help a person to remain in or return to their local community as quickly as possible. Interventions are tailored to individual consumer and family needs as well as circumstances.
