Senior Finance Analyst

The Opportunity

It’s an exciting time to be part of Endeavour Group as we keep innovating and shaping the future of retail and hotels to create better experiences for our customers. We are currently seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to manage our Endeavour Group support functions, partner with the relevant cost owners, and oversee the associated partnership agreements with Woolworths.

Reporting to the Head of Finance, Group Functions and business partner to members of the Executive team, your primary responsibility is to provide decision support and analysis to cost owners, driving better outcomes. Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve and automate processes, providing better insights and efficiency,are also key focus areas for the role. In addition, you will manage the month end, annual budget and forecasting processes for all group support costs and related partnership agreements, including coordinating with Woolworth Group functions and EGL Business units, to ensure accurate, timely and effective outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide insight to the Executive team and cost centre owners to ensure effective management of overhead costs
  • Manage the month end closing process for Group functions, validating costs against forecast, and liaising with the Finance Shared Services (FSS) to investigate variances
  • Coordinate the forecasting and budgeting processes for overhead costs across Endeavour Group, identifying risk and opportunities.
  • Manage any structural or operating model changes implemented across Group support, including re-allocation of resources, creation of new cost centres and aligning on impacts to forecasts / reporting.
  • Ownership of partnership agreements with Woolworths, ensuring charges are in line with commercial agreements
  • Support Finance transformation initiatives and drive process and analytics improvements. Ownership of systems and reporting solutions for EGL overheads.
  • Finance support in business case development for Group Functions


Skills And Experience Required For This Role
  • Degree qualified in financial discipline
  • CA / CPA or equivalent + financial and management accounting experience
  • Strong commercial acumen - able to translate business performance drivers into financial outcomes
  • Experience partnering with senior business leader
  • Experience working in a matrix organisation, collaborating with peers to deliver results
  • Strong organisational and effective time management skills
  • SAP experience would be an advantage
  • Experience with Tableau would be an advantage
  • Solid ability to navigate systems and good technical skills.
