Downer Mining are currently seeking applications from experienced Sservicepersons interested in joining our team at Goonyella Mine.

Reporting to the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be responsible for carrying out field service operations and scheduled servicing of plant and equipment, in both a field and workshop environment.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

In this role you will be responsible for:

• Work effectively with the workshop maintenance crews to achieve the maintenance plan
• Undertake repairs and servicing in accordance with the manufacturers specifications and / or DEM requirments
• Ensure tools and equipment are kept in a serviceable and clean condition and items sourced from the Store are returned by the end of shift
• Work with maintenance superintendents to ensure effective resource allocation to meet maintenance work targets & schedules
• Track maintenance performance and ensure operational issues are managed and communicated in a timely manner
• Work with maintenance supervisors to review plant performance at the project and implement remedial or preventative action where necessary
• Ensure services are completed in accordance with service sheets and all defects properly documented

ABOUT YOU

• Sound mechanical aptitude and reasoning
• Experience in a heavy earth moving maintenance including large excavators, off highway trucks, production loaders and dozers, blast hole drill rigs and mining ancillary equipment
• Current HR Licence
• Current working at heights certification
• Current confined space certification
• Experience working for a medium to large mine operator (preferred)
