Full Time role

Package:

$70,000 salary

FREE Accommodation and meals

Duties:

• Assist the Head/Executive Chef in the day to day operation of a busy commercial kitchen over breakfast, lunch and dinner service
• Maintain a strong service focus
• Work in a hands on capacity doing all aspects of food preparation, cooking and presenting of dishes according to company/guest requirements
• Maintain an efficient and cost effective food service
• Abide by all legal requirements, food hygiene regulations and food safety laws
• Supervision of junior Chefs
• Maintaining a professional, safe and hygienic appearance on duty
• Show great attention to detail and take pride in your work
• Liaise with kitchen staff and front of house regarding customers orders and general service of kitchen operations.
• Work well under pressure as part of a fast paced brigade.
• Other duties as required

Ideal Candidate:

• Formal trade qualifications in commercial cooking
• Previous experience managing a kitchen in a busy al a carte environment
• Previous experience in managing a kitchen team
• Excellent communication skills
• Demonstrated experience in meeting financial targets
• Previous remote area experience highly regarded
• Have a high level of professionalism
• Be able to work as part of a team
