Position: Spray Painter

Position Type: Full-Time

Salary: $63,232.00 plus superannuation per annum

Location: Mackay QLD 4740

Our client who specialises in providing Panel beating & Spray painting services to the insurance industry & private customers across rural Queensland including Mackay & surrounding area is seeking an experienced Spray Painter on a full time basis.

Tasks required include:

• To provide a timely repair that meets our Quality Standards & Manufacturer Specifications for all jobs completed
• Keep shed clean and well presented
• Ensure the Facility & Equipment are maintained as per schedule.
• Comply with all Workplace Health & Safety & Environmental policies/procedures
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures
• Read job sheets
• Mask up job as per job sheet
• Check over all panels to be painted while wax’n’greasing for any chips, chunks primer edges and scratches
• Check colour match to vehicle using natural daylight
• Blended panels are to be appropriately cleaned - remove any dirt or marks before painting
• Check paintwork against the job sheets making sure that all have been completed correctly
• Ensure all Workplace Health & Safety & Environmental procedures are followed at all time
• Clean & maintain all equipment used
• Responsible for keeping paint room, spray booths, front of spray booths, prep bays and parking area in front of paint shop clean and tidy

Requirements:

• Trade qualified
• At least 3 years prior experience as a Spray Painter
• Good communication & willingness to learn
• Organised with attention to detail
• Ability to problem solve
• Intermediate computer skills
• Excellent time management practices.
