We are looking for an experienced Technical Officer to join a dynamic and dedicated Civil Works team and play a crucial role in the delivery our capital works and civil maintenance projects for our community. The role assists the Civil Operations Team Leader in delivering civil operations and projects to meet community expectations and maintain financial accountabilities in line with the Community Plan.

Your focus will be on the operational activities for the current and future sustainability of the business, working through organisational advancement and driving a contemporary and sustainable service delivery focused agenda.

As part of a dynamic, multi-disciplinary organisation; this role delivers and coordinates activities using modern and innovative methods, with consideration of public implications. The role will foster and support a culture of continuous improvement with a key focus on developing capabilities, skills, agility and accountability, whilst being a part of a versatile team that safeguards the financial integrity of Council and excels in the delivery of our customers’ experience.

This position will build and maintain a customer ethos of "people are at the centre of all we do and deliver."

We are looking for a team player with a minimum of 3 years’ experience in Civil Construction and Maintenance and/or Certificate IV in Civil Constructions. In addition you will have a demonstrated ability to produce and interpret technical drawing and documents, along with supervising contractor works. We have a driven and committed team and you will demonstrate your ability to embrace this and collaboratively contribute to our cohesive and enthusiastic team.
