This National Insurance provider is often referred to as a ’household’ name in it’s field. Due to ongoing projects as part of a digital upgrade, there is a requirement for a UX Content Writer to join the team. Based in Melbourne, the UX Content Writer will work closely with colleagues in Sydney and New Zealand to ensure all digital content is easy to read and understand for the retail customers.

Reporting to the Manager Design and Content Management, the UX Content Writer will be responsible for developing digital content that is relevant and customer focused.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with stakeholders (like Marketing, Legal, Product and partners in Digital) to identify content needs and opportunities
  • Act as the voice of the customer and write concise, plain English copy to help meet customer needs and achieve business goals
  • Manage stakeholder feedback during product, legal and compliance sign-off, while maintaining customer-friendly copy that meets style and accessibility guidelines
  • Ensure that content is relevant to a diverse audience by using simple, customer-friendly language that is accessible and on-brand
  • Maintain and enforce style guides across a range of brands.
  • Continually monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of digital content and make appropriate updates where required
  • Contribute to experiments to gain validated data and insights to continuously improve content
  • Act as an advocate for best practice digital content and accessible language throughout the business


Key Skills And Experience
  • 1-3 years’ experience writing/planning digital content, primarily web and apps
  • Superior ability to write and edit clear, succinct, accessible copy and content
  • Ability to optimise content for SEO
  • An unwavering focus on customer value, and determination to stand up for their needs
  • Strong data focus and experience in data driven decision making
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate, to contribute and create effective teamwork across organisational boundaries
  • A strong work ethic and a desire to go the extra mile, and ability to work to demanding and rapid time-lines
  • Experience in digital content writing across the Insurance, Banking, Superannuation, Government or Utilities sectors
