An opportunity is available in to join our team at Sunfam Pty Ltd for a Vehicle Loading Crane Operator. The Vehicle Loading Crane Operator will be required to operate Vehicle Loading Crane > 1T Capacity @10m and assist in the removal, repair and reinstallation of turbine pumps.

The successful applicant will have the following:

• Good communication skills with ability to liaise at all levels
• Current Qld motor vehicle drivers licence and HR license (ESSENTIAL)
• Current CV - Vehicle Loading Crane Licence allowing operation of Slewing Cranes >1T Capacity @ 10m (ESSENTIAL)
• Forklift licence
• Ability to work in remote locations as required
• The ability to work as a team player within a dynamic and continuously changing work environment
• Enjoy practical and manual work & cope with the physical demands of the job
• Able to follow precise instructions
• Able to work without supervision
• Good hand-eye coordination
• Be able to hear a supervisor’s instructions and vehicle warning devices
• Be able to distinguish objects at a distance of approximately 150 metres
• Must be willing and available to work away from Bundaberg involving overnight stays
• Willing to take direction from workshop or onsite supervisor/management

The Vehicle Loading Crane Operator is responsible for:

• Turbine Pump Repairs

• Vehicle pre-start checks
• Loading and unloading equipment at worksites
• Understands procedures & company policies relating to health & safety
• Follows emergency procedures
• Manages time effectively

Specific Duties

• Removal, assessment, repair, and re-installation of turbine pumps
• General workshop duties
• Assist in field installations of main line irrigation systems
• Assemble irrigator parts/repair/rebuild small & large pumps/gear boxes & irrigation components
