About the role:

We’re currently looking for a Warehouse Assistant to join our Local Supply Chain team based in Hallam. The role is a full-time position (Monday to Friday) and is suitable for someone who likes to be active, working in a dynamic environment, physically fit for handling manual tasks, has a keen attention to detail and enjoys working in a team. Career development and advancement opportunities within the warehouse team, supply chain and wider company are available.

Key responsibilities/duties would include:

  • Picking and Packing orders, including cross-checking orders/stock and preparing inventory for transportation (including loading/unloading).
  • Receiving Inventory into warehouse: Unloading, unpacking, checking inventory against documentation to ensure correct style, sizes and quantities.
  • Occasional heavy lifting (boxes up to 15-25kg)
  • Maintenance of warehouse inventory (restocking warehouse shelves, organising inventory etc)
  • Ticketing, tagging and labelling garments and packages for dispatch
  • Processing Inventory transfers
  • Creating and processing invoices
  • Occasional basic data entry into warehousing software, spreadsheets and word processing software
  • Communicating with internal and external stakeholders status and ETAs where appropriate
  • Processing online orders
  • Stock delivery (as required)
  • General warehouse duties as required

Key skills, qualities and experiences to succeed in the role:

  • Previous warehouse/packing experience is well regarded
  • Current Australian driver’s licence
  • Physically fit for manual handling tasks and lifting boxes (up to 15-25kg)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Keen sense to learn and improve their skillset
  • Motivated, reliable, hardworking and punctual
  • Work well in a team environment
  • Flexible with working in a dynamic environment (with altering day to day responsibilities in the warehouse as needed)
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written
  • Computer literate (experience with MS Excel or other spreadsheet software is highly regarded)
  • Proof of right to work in Australia
  • Working with Children check is highly regard
